The Fog Takes What It's Owed

The fog comes quietly. No monster announces itself. No creature steps from the darkness. It simply arrives. A mare disappears. A ring is found in the mud. Three crows wait on the chapel roof. And somewhere beyond the reeds, a voice begins calling that sounds disturbingly familiar. The Fog Takes What It’s Owed lives in the world of old supernatural warnings and half-remembered folk tales — the kind of stories passed down because somebody, somewhere, once believed them enough to be afraid. The singer’s mother knows the rules. Shut the shutter. Watch the candle. And if something calls to you from beyond the reeds... Don’t answer. Because the fog knows the road. It knows the house. And eventually, it comes to collect.
