Soul Of Ireland
Please note: This is a digital download item. No physical CD or vinyl will be mailed.
What does it mean to belong to a place? Soul of Ireland began with that question. The Shannon. The standing stones. Hawthorn trees and curlew cries. Connemara stone walls, Wicklow glens, the Cliffs of Moher and the mountains of Antrim. But this isn't simply a song about the beauty of Ireland. It's about what happened when generations of Irish men and women had to leave it behind. They crossed the sea carrying little more than their names, their stories and their songs. They built lives far from home. Their children had children. Years became generations. And still, something remained. An old melody. A family story. A name. A longing for a green country some descendants may never even have seen. Soul of Ireland is for those who stayed, those who left, and those who still feel Ireland calling across the years.
