When night falls across the Irish hills, the roads belong to those who walked them before us. A fisherman returns from the shore with salt still upon his coat. A mother walks home from the famine road. A soldier returns without his drum. A bride without her veil. And those who crossed the western sea find their way back across it. The Dead Still Walk These Hills isn't really a ghost story about something we should fear. It's about memory. The generations swallowed by hunger, war, emigration and the sea. The names slowly disappearing from weathered stones. The ruined houses whose windows once looked out upon lives now forgotten.
